Working towards my dream

Different Perspectives

Posted by C Moon on December 6, 2007

Today, I had a chance to watch a video by Sam Harris, reading out song lyrics as if they are parts of a poem. The song title was Crank That by Soulja Boy. After watching the video, I became curious to hear the song. Obtaining the song over the internet, I listened to it. The two different forms of presentation gave me totally different feelings. Sam Harris’ approach directed my attention to the lyrics and their presentation, while listening to the original song made me focus on the rhythm and melody. It was quite amazing to personally experience that different forms or formats of presentation impart different feelings. (A warning: The lyrics do not seem to be that “appropriate.”)

When watching a scene, depending on whether you are sitting on a chair or on the floor you get different views. In this case, it will be hard to decide which view or perspective is “right.” Surely enough, if you can try both ways, your understanding of the scene will be heightened.
